Amaranth Orgeat
The Amaranth Orgeat blends the nutty sweetness of orgeat syrup with amaranth, creating a unique and refreshing drink experience.
500G AMARANTH GRAINS

- Blend the amaranth grain into fine flour with a Thermomix (power 9) for approximately 5min. Ensure the blender is completely dry before use.
- Toast the flour in a pan on lower heat, for approx. 10 min till dark brown, stir constantly to avoid burning.
- Once dark brown of colour, let it cool.
- Combine 1 part of toasted flour with 6 parts of water (e.g. 100ml-600ml) and leave for 8 hours (overnight ideally) in the fridge.
- Strain mixture through coffee filter and add same weight of sugar to finish the syrup.
- Add 4 drops of orange blossom water for every 200ml of liquid (e.g. 500ml of syrup = 8 drops). Bottle it and keep refrigerated.
Shelf life = 1 month.
